Sitting around for hours on a cold hillside, in the hope that something might fly past and present itself for a photo opportunity might not be everyones idea of fun.
Nevertheless, like many others, once I'd tasted what it was like to have a fast jet hurtling past in close proximity, it became rather addictive.
The photos in here are taken from various valleys in the Lake District, Peak District and Wales (the most famous area being the patch between Dolgellau and Machynlleth - known by many as the 'mach loop').
